Running together, in different places, at the same time. How on earth does that work? Racefully is the only app that will keep you connected throughout every run.
Let’s set the scene. So your friend tagged you in a post on Facebook about this cool new app called Racefully, you’ve downloaded it, connected with all of your friends around the world who use it, and you’re ready to go.
A message pops up on Facebook from your friend Harry in Paris who says he saw your invitation to connect on Racefully and wants to know if you want to go for a 5km run tomorrow. So you think hey, why not, and you schedule the run on the app. The next day you get a notification an hour before your run reminding you that Harry is still game, it’s happening! So you grab your running shoes and head out to the park.
At the park, you open Racefully and join the run, then do some stretches while you wait for Harry to arrive. When Harry’s ready – 5 minutes late as usual – Racefully notifies you he’s joined the run, and you press Start.
Racefully keeps you connected every step of the way (excuse the pun). The app tracks both of you running at the same time. We do some magic in the backend to take gradient and other factors that would affect how much effort you’re giving your run into account to give you the most accurate representation of who’s ahead and who’s behind. Every so often, Racefully updates you through your headphones to let you know how you’re doing relative to Harry – whether you’re ahead or behind, what your pace is, how far to go – to help motivate you both, and keep you connected.
Our aim is to replicate the experience of running next to your training buddy as closely as possible, using technology. We know how hard it is to find the time to meet with someone in the same place, at the same time on a regular basis. We also know that fitness is so much more fun with friends, so we’ve created Racefully to enable everyone to run together, wherever we are, whenever we want.
